At the Department of Middle Eastern and Near Eastern Studies, the habilitation dissertation by Dr. Nesrin E. Aleskerova (Azerbaijan) Genesis and Evolution of Sufi Brotherhood Khalvatiya (the second half of the 14th to 19th century) [Зарождение и эволюция суфийского братства Халватийа (вторая половина XIV—XIX вв.)] will be discussed. The dissertation was written in 2000s, at the Department of Middle Eastern Studies of the St. Petersburg Branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies (now IOM RAS), with Dr. O.F. Akimushkin as the consultant. |
